2020 Season Update

The Board of Washington Youth Sports Assoc met on March 17th and have been in contact with representatives of other participating communities.We met to discuss our options for the 2020 season in light of national/state/local restrictions beyond our control due to the Coronavirus situation.

We were notified by the city of Washington that they are not allowing any organized field use thru April 30th so all practices are cancelled thru that time. "Draft night" on March 25th has been postponed and no reschedule date has been set. Unfortunately, we find it necessary to cancel the pitching clinic on April 18th. Umpire clinics will be rescheduled as needed.

The board is monitoring the situation and are staying in close contact with city officials. We remain hopeful that the season will go on as planned, just possibly delayed. We also will be discussing our options for things that could be impacted such as start/finish dates, Cardinal night, jerseys, etc. WYSA appreciates your participation in our league.

Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe environment for the youth of our community to play softball/baseball. Rest assured that we will do everything in our power to make this happen. We will try to keep everyone updated as we get further information and/or if further decisions are made that impact our players/coaches. We will post everything on our website, www.washmosports.com, as well as our facebook page.
